Pharma Tech Industries Hires New Regulatory Affairs Manager and Business Development Manager

Royston, GA -- Pharma Tech Industries (PTI), the largest contract manufacturer and packager of powder products in the world, announces the appointment of Steven Jones of Athens, Georgia to the position of Regulatory Affairs Manager and Drew Hoffman to the position of Business Development Manager.
                    

Steven Jones, the new Regulatory Affairs Manager, will be responsible for managing all regulatory aspects of the company, including maintaining compliance with CFR 21 parts 210, 211, and 280 regulations; assisting in the development of new drug application and abbreviated new drug application documentation for clients and customers; applying risk assessments to manufacturing and quality activities through protocol generation and amendments; and interacting with the Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada representatives. 

Prior to being employed at PTI, Steven most recently worked at P3 Laboratories/RxN Pharma as a quality assurance manager.  Prior to that he was employed at Avigenics as a senior research scientist and at Bacterial Barcodes, Inc. as a quality assurance and quality control manager. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology/Biotechnology and did post-graduate course work at North Carolina State University.  He also received Good Laboratory Practices certification from the Research Triangle Institute.  Steven is affiliated with the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, the American Society for Quality, Athens First United Methodist Church, and The Touchdown Club of Athens. 


Drew Hoffman is assuming the role of Business Development Manager.  Prior to joining PTI, Drew worked in the pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical contract manufacturing/packaging industry for 19 years, holding a variety of positions, including sales manager, director of marketing and business development manager for companies such as Catalent, Kik Corporation and DPT Labs.  Drew attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he studied business with a major in marketing.  Additionally, Drew served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves where he obtained the rank of Sergeant before receiving an honorable discharge.
